They Ride White Horses

The End of the Seach for Significance

"A true story… full of strong medicine for the eighty percent who have struggled with their self-worth and identity. ”

- David Graham

“The rider embodied confidence. His jaw was set, indicating his fearlessness and strength. He was a man under control, whose eyes expressed both passion and power. His countenance portrayed tremendous authority and complete peace. This soldier knew exactly who he was and where he had come from.… Now, upon completion of a mission, he knew exactly where he would be going. He was awesome; I would never forget him. I knew he was a prince. The only question that came to mind, shouted out with sorrow from deep inside me, was: Why can’t I be him?”

David Graham’s life took an unexpected turn on a Friday afternoon in late winter. When his flight arrived at Spokane International Airport, David, a businessman and former pastor and counselor, frantically shoved his way to the front of the plane and lunged out the door to the walkway where he sank to the floor in a state of total emotional collapse.

Emergency room doctors pronounced it a “panic attack.” For David, it was the beginning of a fear-filled existence of confusion and introspection. As he begged God to free him from anxiety, David’s life was about to be turned upside down again; this time by a dynamic new understanding about his place of honor as one of God’s sons.

In a startling and terrifying desert vision, David comes face to face with the man he longs to be and the question that plagues most of humanity: What is my significance? In a subsequent dream, he finds himself in the kingdom of his Father and the recipient of all the respect and honor due a prince. Finally, David encounters the Holy Spirit for three days in his tiny church office, and there, he is given a ten-step, scriptural prescription for overcoming his fear and living as the significant son the Father always intended him to be.

David relates his compelling story against the backdrop of the creation of the first children in Eden, taking us back to the moment when the first Parent tenderly shaped a son and a daughter and endowed them with the utmost meaning and purpose. Then, exploring the parenting and shaping many of us receive from imperfect earthly caregivers, and interjecting poignant stories of his own beloved family, David paves the way for us to recapture the intrinsic value and honor that are ours as children of God.

With warmth, wit, and wisdom, David delivers a message of healing and hope for all people―men and women, young and old―who have searched for true validation, that which only comes from the perfect, loving heavenly Father.

They Ride White Horses is a “re-revelation” of our inheritance as God’s honored and beloved children and a road sign pointing the way to our return to ultimate significance, well-being, and purpose.
